Core Mission The Federal Senior Renewals Specialist will renew, upsell, and optimize license subscription contracts for the US federal government, ensuring seamless contract continuation by negotiating favorable terms that align with government regulations and company goals. The role builds key relationships with budget holders, contracting departments, officers, and resellers, becoming a trusted advisor for all contract requests.Responsibilities Deliver the renewal process for a portfolio of HTB Federal customers.Identify HTB platform usage trends and other relevant information to generate meaningful proposals during renewals.Own the renewal process, serving as the primary contact for all commercial matters related to annual subscription renewal.Perform administrative duties such as researching customer contracts, purchasing history, guiding customers through the renewal cycle, tracking purchase orders, and tracking payments.Build effective relationships with commercial contacts within the federal client base, distributors, and resellers.Understand and follow USG procurement processes, budget allocation, contract vehicles, and potential pitfalls.Engage customers to present value propositions, support business requirements, and overcome objections to secure renewals.Collaborate with internal stakeholders (Customer Success, Sales, Business Operations, Legal, Finance, etc.) to ensure smooth renewals.Forecast and track account-based metrics, including probability of renewal and on-time renewal status.Maintain and update internal systems (HubSpot, ChurnZero) to manage client renewal information accurately.Develop deep expertise in HTB products to drive positive renewal outcomes.Operate within a global company environment.Qualifications 5+ years of experience in contract renewal or account management.Customer service and/or administration experience.Experience working within the US government.Deep understanding of US government procurement and contracting complexities.Ability to respond to RFQs and RFPs and understand specific guidelines for responses.Experience negotiating complex, multi‑year agreements.Strong process management, financial acumen, and strict compliance with policies.Ability to overcome customer objections.Self‑starter with a positive attitude, strong work ethic, attention to detail, and ability to work to deadlines.Ability to work with minimal supervision and proactively complete assigned tasks.Strong interpersonal and problem‑solving skills.Effective written and verbal communication skills.Willingness to contribute ideas to improve renewals procedures.Experience with HubSpot and/or ChurnZero is a strong asset.Benefits USD 90,000–102,000 OTE (80/20 split).Medical, Dental & Vision coverage (100% employee paid).401(k) with employer match.Employer‑paid Life and AD&D Insurance.Supplemental Life Insurance.Short‑term and Long‑term Disability.Healthcare & Dependent Care FSA.Paid paternity & maternity leave.25 annual leave days.Home Office Allowance.Dedicated budget for training and professional development; participation in conferences.State‑of‑the‑art equipment.Full access to the Hack The Box lab offerings.Legal Statements Hack The Box is committed to fostering a diverse, inclusive, and equitable workplace.
