This will include developing an understanding of their need for prototype parts through to production needs, demonstrating the higher value of our offer, and growing our share of business while gaining familiarity with U.S. Government contracting processes.This role is ideal for candidates who are achievement-oriented and will think outside-the-box to exceed annual sales goals through strong collaboration with partners and internal stakeholders. You are driven by success and work well in a fast‑paced, dynamic, and changing environment, helping to develop and strengthen a deep understanding of the $50 billion dollar manufacturing industry in America.ResponsibilitiesSelling of the Xometry solutions to the United States GovernmentSupply chain focus with a majority of your time invested in learning our business and aligning to our customers' strategic objectivesInitiating and building relationships with engineering staff, program management, procurement and executive managementStrategic planning and roadmapping for customer accountsSetting up sales calls and presentations for company executives and engineers with prospective clientsQualify and convert potential leadsWork with technical staff and other internal colleagues to meet customer needsEnsure that data is accurately entered and managed within the company's CRM or other sales management systemEnsure all team members represent the company in the best lightAbility to propose winning solutions and negotiate contract termsParticipate in ongoing training and mentoring programsUnderstand the company's goal and purpose to continually enhance its performancePerform all work in compliance with Xometry's quality and safety systems, policies and proceduresQualificationsBachelor's degree requiredAt least 5+ years of sales experience in a quota‑carrying closing sales roleAt least 2+ years of experience selling into the U.S. Government and private government contractors preferredExperience with U.S. Government contracting is a plusA demonstrated knowledge of manufacturing or engineering is preferredAbility to travel up to 5‑10% of the timeDemonstrated ability to manage effectively across functionsHigh proficiency with virtual meetings and presentations with customersProficiency in programs such as Google Suite, Microsoft Office Suite, Zoom/WebEx/GoToMeetingCRM experience with Salesforce or similar systemsExperience with strategic sales planningExcellent communication and presentation skills; written and verbalStrong negotiation skills and results drivenAbility to work well in a fast‑paced high‑growth environmentThe estimated base salary range for new hires into this role is $80,000‑90,000 annually plus commission depending on factors such as job-related skills, relevant experience, and location.
