Rio Hydraulics Service Technician Helper
Responsibilities
- Service
- Conducting service calls, Inland and/or Offshore majors, Inland and/or Offshore surveys, maintaining a high level of communication and service to our customers.
- Responsible for equipment and consumables for job and any items to complete the task(s) asked of them.
- Responsible for cleanliness of the technician vehicle.
- Responsible in helping keeping shop area clean
- Project Management
- Work with Hydraulic Supervisor, Branch Manager, Division Manager and/or Office Coordinator on scheduling repair and re-man projects to ensure projects are completed on time.
- Responsible for letting the Service Manager know if help is needed on projects to complete the repairs in the allotted time.
- Inventory and Recording
- Responsible for making sure that all parts taken from inventory are written down and all paperwork is turned into the Office Coordinator.
- Responsible for making sure all parts not used on the job are turned back into Inventory Control Department.
Qualifications
- Education
- High School or GED Diploma
- Practical Experience
- TWIC Card
- Valid Driver's License
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in marine service industry
- Good communications skills
Physical
- Ability to lift and carry 50lbs for extended distances
- Ability to work in any and all adverse weather conditions
- Ability to climb ladders, stairs and gangways up to 25 feet in height
- Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch and work above head for extended periods of time
- Ability to operate Rio Marine vehicles in a safe and courteous manner
Personal Background
- Must be capable of acquiring valid TWIC
- Must have valid drivers license
- Must have clean driving record with no DWI convictions
- Must pass a criminal background check
- Must be able to pass a drug and alcohol test
Practical Experience
- Previous experience in electrical service industry
- Good communications skills
- Professional manner in dealing with other employees, management and customers
- Organizational Skills
- Basic mechanical skills
