This role designs and implements machine learning models within the Data Integration Platform (DIP) to enable anomaly detection, root cause analysis, service health prediction, and automated decision support across Air Force digital environments.The SME will work closely with data engineers, analysts, platform architects, cybersecurity teams, and IT operators to operationalize AI-driven insights for proactive enterprise IT management.ResponsibilitiesDesign and deploy ML models for UXM use cases (anomaly detection, performance forecasting, experience scoring, root cause analysis)Develop feature engineering pipelines from logs, metrics, traces, and endpoint telemetryIntegrate AI/ML capabilities into the Data Integration Platform (DIP) architecture and operational dashboardsBuild and validate MVP models supporting AoA outcomes and UXM operational readinessImplement MLOps pipelines (training, validation, deployment, monitoring)Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to ensure RMF-compliant model deploymentTranslate model outputs into actionable insights for IT operators and leadershipSupport dashboard specification, analytics requirements, and operational reportingDAF Client Collaboration: Proactively collaborate with the DAF to understand their software landscape, installation details, licensing requirements, and specific needs related to the assigned software publishers and productsProject Contribution: Actively participate in project meetings, providing updates on modeling progress, identifying potential challenges, and contributing to the overall success of the projectQualificationsActive Secret Clearance15+ Years of relevant experience (Bachelor's Degree in applicable field may be substituted for 5 years of experience).Minimum 7 years' experience in data science, machine learning, or applied AI (with at least 3 years in operational or enterprise environments)Hands‑on experience with:Python-based ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn, or equivalent)Time-series analytics and anomaly detectionETL/ELT pipelines and enterprise data platformsSQL and large-scale datasetsExperience deploying models into production environmentsFamiliarity with observability, ITOM, or UXM telemetry sourcesPrioritization and Management: Ability to prioritize and manage collecting information and modeling multiple publishers and products, while adhering to deadlines and maintaining high-quality workDesiredPrior DoD or federal IT program experienceExperience with MLOps frameworks and CI/CD pipelinesKnowledge of UXM, IT operations analytics, or digital experience monitoringExperience working in RMF-controlled environmentsFamiliarity with Power BI, Tableau, or similar visualization toolsExposure to cloud or hybrid AI deploymentsAnalytical and Problem‑Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve complex issuesCommunication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with the DAF, internal teams, and external vendorsCertifications (One Or More Required)CompTIA Security+ CE (DoD 8570/8140 compliant)Preferred Technical CertificationsAWS Certified Machine Learning – SpecialtyMicrosoft Azure AI Engineer AssociateGoogle Professional Machine Learning EngineerDatabricks Machine Learning ProfessionalWhat You Can ExpectA culture of integrity.At CACI, we place character and innovation at the center of everything we do.
