The successful selectee will perform the following duties:
Provide assistance and direction to the museum collections including the acquisition and display of objects associated with significant events, important developments, and notable achievements of the Navy.
Identify, authenticate, and determine the appropriateness of items offered as gifts or loans and arrange for acceptance or tactful rejection of such offers.
Ensure the proper and respectful use of the collections and is responsible for the prevention of theft, damage, or deterioration.
Conduct research which encompasses the history, heritage, and operations of the United States Naval Academy.
Develop themes, scripts, labels and related scholarly material to support the creation and presentation of temporary and permanent exhibits.
