Job DescriptionWork Location: Hybrid/Washington, DC.We are seeking a motivated and customer-oriented cybersecurity professional to support our Department of State client. The candidate will support FISMA compliance.Duties and ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement a vulnerability scanning strategy using Nessus, prioritizing software development assets.Configure, maintain, and optimize Nessus instances for software-centric security assessments.Design custom Nessus scan templates and policies aligned with software development risks.Analyze scan results in tandem with Government leadership to identify critical vulnerabilities, and develop prioritized remediation plans.Develop detailed documentation, knowledge bases, and training materials for Nessus usage.Generate FISMA-compliant vulnerability reports for government stakeholders.Required Qualifications5+ years of in-depth Nessus administration, configuration, and optimization experience.Deep understanding of software vulnerabilities, threat vectors, and scanning techniques.Familiarity with FISMA standards and their integration with vulnerability management processes.Experience interpreting and customizing Nessus scan results.Proven ability to automate Nessus tasks and reporting using scripting (Python, Bash, etc.).Experience with secure coding principles and software development lifecycles.Familiarity with cloud-based Nessus deployments.Desired QualificationsOne or more Nessus-related certifications (or equivalent vendor-specific).Clearance RequirementActive Secret clearance.Employee BenefitsGunnison employee benefits meet or beat other companies in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area, including:Bonuses AND profit-sharing401k MatchingCertifications and training allowance $2,500/year3 weeks of personal leave your first year (160 hours can roll over every year)5 days of Flex-Time-Off per yearEqual Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
