Work Here!* Processes, records, maintains and serves civil and criminal documents as needed.* Patrols precinct as a deterrent to crime.* Assists public within scope of authority.* Maintains good investigative skills to work with gang and drug related crimes and to locate wanted person.* Secures and preserves crime scenes.* May work with traffic enforcement/traffic investigation.* Composes and types memos and correspondence; prepares and distributes invoices.* Tracks, balances, monitors and reconciles budget items.* Responds to telephone inquiries and/or directs to proper person.* Organizes and maintains filing system for state records.* Assists other employees with their duties; trains office staff as needed.* Participates in activities and duties related to emergency management during a local state of disaster as directed by appropriate county managers.**MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:*** High School Diploma/GED.* One year job related experience preferred.* Strong computer skills; ability to complete assigned tasks in timely manner.* Verbal and written communication skills; interpersonal skills and ability to interact effectively with the public.* Valid Texas Driver License.* Basic TCOLE certification.**STARTING SALARY RANGE:** $33.60 - $42.00 hourly based on qualifications**CLOSING DATE:** Upon filling 2 positions**All full-time and part-time employees are members of the Texas County District Retirement System (TCDRS).
