Supply Technician

As a SUPPLY TECHNICIAN (TITLE 32), GS-2005-4/5/6, you will provide services in support of inventory control, storage, and distribution, cataloging or supply identification systems, property utilization, or other related supply activities including those associated with automated or manual supply accounting systems. Major Duties - This is NOT an all-inclusive list:

  • Knowledge of requisitions, supporting documents and reference material to determine supply or special supply action required.
  • Knowledge of established supply regulations, policies and procedures, or other governing supply management guidelines to perform inventory management of decentralized and decontrolled items.
  • Exercises judgement in selecting, interpreting, modifying, and adapting guides which seldom apply directly to the situation.
  • Assignments include aspects of technical supply management work related to agency, intermediate echelon, depot, local, or other supply activities.
  • Performs limited aspect of technical supply management work which involves individual case problems or supply actions which require consideration of program requirements.
  • Complete assignments involve a variety of transactions required for material movement, which require the application of seasoned experience and judgment.
  • Contacts are with a variety of operating officials, representatives of commercial firms or with representatives of other government agencies.
