Job OverviewSeeking a mid-to-senior level Engineer/Scientist. The level of effort is 100% (1 FTE), with time dedicated to both space-based communications and test planning and execution.Position RequirementsWorking knowledge of space-based communications architectures, including ground entry points, radios, and the integration of hardware and software.Experience in space-based test planning and execution, including the definition of test objectives and measures of performance.Experience leading test working groups for fully integrated space systems with multiple payloads and diverse government, industry, and lab partners.Ability to lead Mission Integration Working Groups twice a year across 15-20 unique organizations, including defining security baselines, coordinating agendas, and reviewing test plans.Serve as the test lead for major program objectives, including running test readiness reviews and working with contractors to review and act on data from test events.Provide overarching support to the program by attending regular calls, major reviews, and partner meetings, as well as drafting presentations and memorandums.Experience working with transition partners such as the Air Force, NASA, Space Force, NRO, and SSC.At least 5 years of experience working in both SAP and TS/SCI environments.A strong understanding of methodologies for sending data via both secure and open means.Work Location: On‑site at the client site in Arlington, VA.Travel: Some local and domestic travel (Colorado/California) will be required at least twice per quarter.Clearance Requirement: Active TS/SCIBlue Sky Innovators, Inc. is an equal opportunity employer.
