What you'll do
- Research and implement professional development training, respond to general training inquiries, oversee training and development requests through the Learning Center, and develop resources for the KC Water workforce.
- Communicate with supervisors regarding effective implementation of engagement initiatives and maintain effective working relationships with City personnel using tact and diplomacy.
- Oversee the Learning Center by reviewing and completing requests, registering participants, researching vendor status, collecting receipts, following travel procedures, and ensuring all required documentation is uploaded.
- Analyze data from interviews, surveys, questionnaires, and group discussions to evaluate curricula, teaching methods, and staff participation in training and development.
- Organize and support new employee orientation, update and create KC Water SharePoint content, develop training materials, and create training videos.
- Deliver in-person and virtual professional development training, evaluate divisional training needs, support outreach events, and compile and update key performance indicators for learning and development.
- Training programs are delivered effectively and meet workforce needs
- Learning Center processes are accurate, complete, and on schedule
- Training data is analyzed and used to improve development programs
- Staff engagement and participation in training increases
- Training resources and materials remain current and accessible
- Opportunity to build experience in training, development, and workforce engagement
- Collaboration across multiple departments and teams
