    About the Role We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Software Test Analyst to join our dynamic and innovative team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of software applications through rigorous testing, analysis, and collaboration with developers, project managers, and stakeholders. Your work will play a critical role in delivering high-performance solutions that meet customer and business needs. As a Senior Test Analyst, you will lead test planning, execution, and reporting activities, and help establish best practices to drive continuous quality improvement across projects. Responsibilities * Develop, document, and execute comprehensive test strategies, plans, and cases based on business and technical requirements. * Perform functional, integration, regression, system, and user acceptance testing across multiple platforms and environments. * Collaborate closely with developers, business analysts, and product owners to understand features and technical implementation. * Analyze test results, identify root causes of defects, and work with teams to resolve issues. * Create and maintain automated test scripts where applicable. * Establish quality assurance best practices and mentor junior test team members. * Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives. * Provide detailed and actionable defect reports and testing metrics to stakeholders. * Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the testing process and quality standards. Qualifications * Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. Equivalent experience may be considered. * 5+ years of experience in software testing or quality assurance, with at least 2 years in a senior or lead role. * Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes. * Experience with test management tools such as JIRA, Zephyr, TestRail, or similar. * Proficiency in manual testing techniques; experience with automated testing tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright) is a plus. * Familiarity with Agile/Scrum software development processes. * Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Clearance * Active secret security clearance is required Physical Requirements * This position requires the ability to perform sedentary work, primarily sitting at a desk for extended periods with frequent breaks, while utilizing a computer keyboard and mouse for repetitive hand movements. Work Location * This role is hybrid from the customer facility in Chantilly, VA three (3) days per week. Salary at Echelon Services is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $50,000 - $90,000 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Echelon's total compensation package for employees.
