Job Title: Closed Patrol Security Officer (Golf Cart - Shopping Center)
Position Overview: The Closed Patrol Security Officer is responsible for maintaining a safe, secure, and welcoming environment within the shopping center. Operating a company-provided golf cart, this officer conducts routine patrols of parking lots, walkways, and common areas, ensuring the protection of property, tenants, and guests. In addition to security duties, the officer will assist with maintaining the appearance of the property by picking up and disposing of litter during patrols.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct regular patrols of the shopping center property using a golf cart to deter and detect unauthorized activity, suspicious behavior, or safety hazards.
- Monitor parking lots, building perimeters, and common areas to ensure compliance with property rules and regulations.
- Provide visible security presence and excellent customer service to tenants, employees, and visitors.
- Respond promptly to incidents, disturbances, accidents, or emergencies; document and report all occurrences accurately.
- Communicate effectively with property management, law enforcement, and emergency personnel as needed.
- Perform light maintenance tasks such as picking up trash and debris during patrols to maintain the cleanliness and safety of the property.
- Complete detailed daily activity reports and incident reports as required.
- Operate and maintain assigned golf cart and equipment in a safe and responsible manner.
- Adhere to all company policies, safety procedures, and post orders.
- Must be 21 years or older.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (required).
- Valid PPSB Unarmed Security license (preferred).
- Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or military (preferred).
- Strong observational and reporting skills.
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions under pressure.
- Must be able to stand, walk, and drive for extended periods.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Outdoor setting (shopping center parking lots, walkways, and exterior grounds). Officer will have an inside post to maintain during harsh weather.
- Exposure to various weather conditions.
- Shift schedules include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Available Shifts:
Saturday 6pm-12am
Sunday 6pm-12am
