    JOB LOCATION: Buffalo Thunder Casino

    REPORTS TO: Surveillance Shift Supervisor and Surveillance Manager

    DEPARTMENT: Surveillance

    FLSA STATUS: This is a full-time/part-time, hourly, non-exempt position

    TYPICAL WORK SCHEDULE (DAYS/HRS PER WEEK): TBD

    JOB PURPOSE: Protects the company's assets, compliance with gaming regulations, and the safety of guests and employees.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
    • Monitors activities in casino and surrounding areas via CCTV and covert observations. Detects any theft, cheating, unusual, irregular, or illegal activities. Reports incidents via proper channels.
    • Conducts investigations, special requests and directives by supervisors, Assistant Director, Director, Assistant General Manager, General Manager, or other departments. Reports findings via proper channels.
    • Maintains proper tape control. Maintains proper log control, including daily activity log, equipment repair log, tape control log, access log, incident report log, master security tape log, and others as necessary.
    • Performs related work as required or directed.
    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES):
    • Knowledge of all casino games, their procedures, how they are dealt and played; of slot operations and procedures; of cage operations and procedures including hard count and soft count
    • Ability to ensure adherence to procedures and to identify cheating scams, and theft from interior or exterior sources
    • Knowledge of department procedures, casino policies, and gaming regulations
    • Ability to recognize unsafe conditions
    • Working knowledge of the operation of surveillance equipment
    • Ability and willingness to carry out directives, and perform tasks accordingly
    REQUIRED EDUCATION OR COMBINATION OF EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
    • High school or GED
    • Must be 21 years of age or older
    • Prior experience in casino industry, security, law enforcement, and/or military.
    • Cannot be related to, or close friends with, Pojoaque Gaming Inc. employees in any money-handling area
    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:
    • Office setting/secluded and segregated. Covert operations may require other working conditions and/or areas. Some travel required. Shift work required. Required to work weekends, holidays, and overtime.
    • Sedentary, 80%. Walking/roving, 20%. Lifting and carrying up to 40 lbs. Light exposure to cigarette smoke and noise.
    • Casual dress; no badge worn during covert operations
