    Location: Newport News, VA – On-site Full-Time Required
    Position Type: Full-Time
    Clearance Requirement: Active Secret Clearance
    Program: Global Command and Control System – Joint (GCCS-J) Position Summary
    The Junior Test Engineer supports the GCCS J modernization team by executing test cases, documenting results, assisting with automation, and learning system workflows under senior guidance. Key Responsibilities
    Area Responsibilities
    Test Execution • Execute manual test cases. • Validate basic system functionality.
    Documentation • Record test results. • Log defects and track fixes.
    Automation Support • Assist in developing automated tests. • Maintain simple scripts.
    Agile Participation • Attend Sprint ceremonies. • Support acceptance criteria validation.
    Collaboration • Work with senior testers and developers. Basic Qualifications
    • Bachelor's degree in STEM.
    • 0–2 years of testing experience.
    • Familiarity with software testing concepts.
    • Basic scripting or automation exposure.
    • Active Secret clearance. Preferred Qualifications
    • Exposure to DoD systems or C2 environments.
    • Familiarity with Linux/UNIX.
    • Understanding of APIs or microservices. Desired Competencies
    • Willingness to learn.
    • Strong attention to detail.
    • Good communication skills.
