The City of Scottsdale is seeking a driven, forward-thinking Human Resources professional to join our Human Resources Department and take on high-impact work that truly matters. In this position, you will be at the center of complex and highly sensitive employee relations matters-conducting investigations, advising leaders, resolving workplace concerns, and helping maintain a fair, consistent, and supportive environment for employees across the organization.

    In addition to employee relations, you’ll contribute to areas that may include classification and compensation, benefits, and recruitment. You will also support policy development, deliver presentations, prepare clear and detailed reports, and gather and analyze data that drives informed decision-making.

    Public safety experience is highly preferred, as you will work closely with our Police, Fire, and other safety-focused departments.     Anticipated starting salary for this position may be up to mid-point depending on candidate’s experience and internal equity. The full salary range is listed above and mid-point for this position is $94,432.00/annually.

    Minimum Qualifications

    Education and Experience
    • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited educational institution.
    • Five years' professional level human resources experience.
    • An equivalent combination of education and /or job-related experience that meets the minimum qualifications may substituted.
    • Preferred:
      • Relevant human resources certifications.
      • Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a closely related field.

    Licensing, Certifications and Other Requirements
    • Every person employed by the City of Scottsdale shall reside in the State of Arizona during his or her active employment by the City, regardless of whether the employee is approved to remote work.
