Associate Engineer: $7,129 - $7,842/Monthly

QualificationsThe minimum and preferred requirements are listed below. Education and Experience:- Assistant Engineer:
- MINIMUM: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college with major coursework in civil engineering or related field or foreign or non-US college Bachelor’s degree in related field with an evaluation of the educational units from a United States accredited college or an approved agency verifying coursework is equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field and two (2) years of technical engineering experience in the United States.
- PREFERRED:In addition to the minimum, possession of a California Engineer-In-Training (EIT) Certificate and up to two (2) years of additional engineering experience.
- Associate Engineer:
- MINIMUM: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in Civil Engineering or related field and four (4) years of civil engineering experience in a public agency or equivalent ORBachelor’s degree from an accredited college in Civil Engineering or related field, possession of a California Engineer-In-Training (EIT) Certificate and two (2) years of civil engineering experience in a public agency or equivalent.
- PREFERRED:In addition to the minimum, possession of a California Engineer-In-Training (EIT) Certificate and additional years of civil engineering experience in a public agency setting.
- Associate Civil Engineer:
- MINIMUM: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in Civil Engineering, Surveying or closely related field and two (2) years professional engineering experience.
- PREFERRED:In addition to the minimum, Master’s degree in Civil Engineering and three (3) years of civil engineering experience in a public agency setting.
Licenses and Certification:- The ability to obtain a valid California Class C driver's license within ten (10) days of employment; maintain throughout employment.
- Associate Civil Engineer: Possess registration as a Civil Engineer in the State of California.
Special Requirements:- Must successfully complete an extensive and thorough background investigation, which may include Live Scan fingerprinting prior to hire.
- DMV printout prior to hire.
- Will be required to perform disaster service activities pursuant to Government Code 3100-3109.
