    Major Duties

    Under the general supervision of the Assistant Vice President (AVP) of Academic Technology and the lead of the Accessibility Program Manager, Universal Design Center (UDC), the Accessibility Compliance Analyst evaluates technology purchases, addresses accessibility risks, supports campus initiatives, delivers training, and contributes to outreach efforts. The incumbent works closely with departments and vendors to improve accessibility practices, ensure compliance with regulations, and promote inclusive technology solutions across the institution.
    • Reviews information technology purchase requests to identify the campus impact and legal vulnerability.
    • Serves as a liaison to vendors as their products undergo evaluation.
    • Serves as a resource for staff, faculty, and/or students on accessibility-related inquiries and concerns.
    • Provides training in a variety of modalities (online, video, live workshops) to staff and faculty on accessible principles, techniques, and assistive technologies.
    • Analyzes purchase data; recommends changes and enhancements to procurement processes.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications
    • Equivalent to graduation from an accredited four-year college or university in a related field and two years of relevant experience.
    • Additional experience that demonstrates acquired and successfully applied knowledge and abilities. An advanced degree in a related field may be substituted for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.
    • Knowledge in ASL is highly desired


    Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
    • Demonstrated knowledge of accessibility standards, regulations (e.g., ADA), and ICT procurement practices, with the ability to evaluate technology purchases, identify compliance risks, and recommend accessible solutions, including alternative access plans and accessibility roadmaps.
    • Strong analytical, communication, and collaboration skills to interpret purchase data, advise on accessibility tools and software, and effectively coordinate with campus departments and vendors during product evaluations and procurement processes.
    • Comprehensive knowledge of accessibility laws, standards, and best practices, with the ability to provide guidance on accessibility-related inquiries, develop training across multiple modalities, and create clear communication materials that support campus-wide accessibility compliance.
    • Strong interpersonal, collaboration, and advocacy skills to engage effectively with faculty, staff, students, and cross-functional teams, promote accessibility awareness, contribute to outreach initiatives, and align accessibility efforts with institutional goals related to equity, inclusion, and emerging technologies.


    Pay, Benefits, & Work Schedule
    • The university offers an excellent benefits package, including but not limited to: medical, dental, vision, retirement & savings, tuition waiver, and more.
    • Classification: 0434 / Accessibility Technologist II / 1
    • The anticipated HIRING RATE is $ 6492 per month. The salary range for this classification is: $6492 - $9458 per month.
    • HOURS: Full Time; 40 hours per week; Monday through Friday. May include evenings and weekends.
    • This is a Regular position with a one-year probationary period.
    • The position is currently hybrid (3 days in office, 2 days remote); however, this is subject to change based on student and/or operational needs.
