Job Description
The City of Marina is located on the beautiful central coast in Monterey Bay and is the fastest growing city in the Monterey Bay region. Marina’s 22,500 residents enjoy an exceptional quality of life, with some of the most affordable housing on the coast along with all the sights and attractions of Monterey Bay, Carmel by the Sea and the Big Sur coast.

The City Manager is seeking a well experienced and dedicated local government professional with a firsthand understanding of city operations, city leadership, and city council and staff relations. The Assistant City Manager will play a key role in supporting the City Manager and City Council, in moving forward the City’s vision and leading city-wide administrative operations in this transformational time of the City. The expected annual salary range for the Assistant City Manager is $180,000 to $220,000; placement within the range is dependent on qualifications and experience.
