About the Position Your will be working amongst the rolling hills of Sonoma County! Bridge Workers are part of a collaborative crew that works together to improve our community through the construction, repair, and maintenance of bridges, culverts, catch basins, viaducts, curbs, gutters, and other related timber, concrete, and steel structures. The ideal Bridge Worker has a collaborative work style with a focus on safety and two or more years of experience: Constructing, repairing, and maintaining bridges, cattle guards, guardrails, steel ties, and walls Preparing foundations for bridge footing and abutments, constructing sack walls, and rip rapping Operating air compressor, cutting torch, and sandblasting equipment Safely working around or operating and maintaining various heavy equipment Although not required, highly desirable certifications include Articulating Boom Crane (ABC), Articulating Boom Crane with Winch (ABW), Articulating Boom Loaders (ABL), Crane Operator, Lattice Boom Truck (LBT), Rigger 1, Signalman 1, Shielded Metal Arc Welding/Stick Welding, Arc Structural Welding, and use and inspection of Fall Protection for bridge maintenance activities.
