Performs wastewater repairs that include manholes, gravity mainline and force main. Responds to emergencies and on-call status for traffic and BNSF signal problems, downed trees, sewer backups, flooding, fires, motor vehicle accidents, emergency locates, water main breaks, snow and ice events, and spill responses. Supports and assists other departments or agencies such as BNSF, Parks, Fiber, Solid Waste, Fleet Maintenance, and Wastewater Treatment Plant as directed. Performs related duties as assigned. DEFINITION Under general supervision, performs semi-skilled and skilled labor related to the maintenance and repair of City parks, landscaping, streets and buildings. DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS The Maintenance Worker II is the Journey level classification in the Maintenance series.
