Heat Plant Specialist II will work under the direct supervision of the Facility Supervisor II. This will be underfilling the Heat Plant Specialist 3. The incumbent will responsible for checking system functions; monitoring and /or adjusting a computerized energy managements system; adjust combustion and safety controls; adjust press and temperature gauges; take water samples and analyze chemical properties of feed water; prevent water deposits and sludge build-up. They will also be doing preventative maintenance, system maintenance, keeping system logs and be required to respond to emergencies. Introduction This examination is being given to fill vacancies in the San Joaquin County Probation Department and to establish an eligible list which may be used to fill future vacancies. The Juvenile Detention Facility is a 24-hour operation. These positions require working rotating shifts which will include weekends and holidays, as well as working overtime. The shifts are: 6:00 am - 6:00 pm; 9:00 am - 9:00 pm; and 6:00 pm - 6:00 am.
