Job DescriptionFacilities Coordinator I - ADMIN $4,370.63 per month 1 Full-Time PositionCollege Station, Texas The Role at a GlanceUnder general supervision, the Facilities Coordinator I is responsible for coordinating and supervising activities at the
TEEX Headquarters, Gateway, and Galveston locations. This role serves as the point of contact for facility-related events, ensures buildings, grounds, and equipment are secure, maintained, and in good order, and coordinates repairs and routine maintenance.
The position reports to the Facilities Manager and requires at least 25% travel.Qualifications of the Role - Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in applicable field.
- No experience required with a Bachelor’s degree in applicable field.
- Must have a valid motor vehicle operator’s license or the ability to obtain within 30 days of employment.
Equivalency: an Associate’s degree with two years of experience in facility management or a High School Diploma/GED with four years of experience in facility management.
Essential Duties, Tasks, and Percentages: Monitor and Maintain Facility Conditions - 35%- Inspects and monitors facility and property condition on a daily/weekly basis.
- Coordinates building repairs (electrical, plumbing, air conditioning, tree trimming, grounds maintenance, sprinklers, etc.) in accordance with TEEX procedures.
- Provides appropriate and effective facility access for authorized visitors, students and instructors Initiate contract bids for facility repairs, grounds maintenance, vending machines and other facility-related contract services in accordance with TEEX procedures.
- Coordinates agency facilities, support services and Building Proctor duties, including after-hours, on-site response.
- Ensures facility is clean and grounds are maintained.
- Respond to facility issues after normal hours as required.
Property Management - 35%- Ensures appropriate security of the facility and grounds.
- Maintains effective key control and related key control records.
- Provides visiting instructors and staff with facility keys, alarm access and other requests.
- Confirm proper closing and security of all assets after hours.
- Assist with coordination of agency telecommunications (phones, telecom systems, databases, fax, etc.).
- Coordinate with telecommunications, furnishings, and equipment teams.
- Meet with fire, building and property inspectors.
Equipment and Technology Support - 15%- Support maintenance and setup of agency video conferencing, audiovisual systems, and networked equipment.
- Troubleshoots computers for basic problems and refers major problems to NIS for further support and resolution.
- Provides computer support to customers during training operations.
Inventory Maintenance - 10%- Oversees the ordering, receiving, storing, inventory, inspection, and distribution of materials and supplies.
- Maintains and/or supervises the maintenance of records indicating receipt and disposition of all stock material and supplies.
- Works with local community leaders to provide information on services offered by TEEX.
- Sorts and disseminates mail (USPS and other package deliveries from carrier services).
- Prepares special and periodic reports as required for operation.
- Performs facility touring duties as necessary.
Other Divisional Responsibilities - 5%- Works with local community leaders to provide information on services offered by TEEX.
