Lead Administrative Support Assistant (MVDL)Department of Revenue DOR VISION: To establish an environment that fosters confidence and trust by successfully utilizing technology, employing resources, and meeting customer needs HOW THIS POSITION SUPPORTS THE DEPARTMENT’S VISION: This senior-level administrative role requires independent decision-making and the ability to manage complex clerical functions involving specialized terminology and software. The position provides high-level administrative support to the Motor Vehicle Bureau Administrator, assigned Administrative Managers, and other bureau staff to ensure efficient operations and exceptional customer service.
DUTIES PERFORMED TO SUPPORT THE DEPARTMENT’S VISION: - Answer and assist or direct telephone calls regarding motor vehicle and marine titling and registration inquiries.
- Review, assign, track, and assist in resolving constituent transactional issues or complaints.
- Track and update the status of special projects, process improvements, and bureau-assigned fiscal notes.
- Assist Bureau Office senior staff with meeting scheduling, minute-taking, and task monitoring.
- Coordinate the review and update of bureau correspondence and official communications.
- Create and maintain complex bureau reports on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
- Draft and recommend changes to bureau procedures, forms, and publications.
- Assist or lead special projects to support organizational goals and improve processes.
- Revise internal and on-desk procedures to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Process applications for motor vehicle and marine craft registrations in accordance with established guidelines.

QUALIFICATIONS: - Three to five years of experience in clerical or general office support (substitutions may be allowed).
- Knowledge of Motor Vehicle Bureau processes and procedures.
- Ability to interact professionally with the public via telephone.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
- Ability to research and draft professional correspondence.
