    Role Description:

    Review requests for services to ensure that they meet waiver guidelines and follow Missouri values; review individual’s Priority of Need. Assist TCM entities by providing information and guidance on meeting waiver guidelines. Present the requests to the Director/Assistant Director or designee with the recommendations.

    Typical Qualifications:

    5 years of relevant experience or a Bachelor’s degree and 2 or more years of relevant experience.

    Experience with Developmental Disability Services and knowledge of Department of Mental Health Developmental Disability Division rules and regulations preferred.

    Expectations:

    • Has a thorough knowledge of Division rules, regulations, guidelines regarding eligibility for Regional Office Services, prioritization of funding, and due process.
    • Ensures the implementation of the Division regulations regarding the review of support plans and budgets for consumers.
    • Has thorough and effective knowledge of all Division services as well as state funded medical services and community resources.
    • Has a thorough understanding and acceptance of the Division’s mission and values.
    • Effectively tracks all plans and budgets submitted for review assuring completion of reviews and submission to the Regional Office Director/Assistant Director or designee.
    • Assures that all forms and correspondence generated during Utilization Review Committee reviews are accurately and thoroughly completed.
    • Accurately tracks all changes in Regional Office spending as specified by the Regional Office Director/Assistant Director or designee.
    • Department performance expectations have been outline in the revised 2018 Employee Handbook.
