    JOB SUMMARY
    The Training Consultant III is responsible for leading department specific training-related projects, administering training programs, and collaborating with leadership to determine training needs.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

    • Leads department specific training-related projects from requirements assessment to project completion, while adhering to deadlines and quality standards.
    • Collaborates with department leadership, key stakeholders and subject matter experts to support project strategy.
    • Provides support to ensure any changes made to the business processes are adequately tested and communicated.
    • Responsible for the administration of department specific training programs, which include program development, design, program evaluation, and program materials for in-person, online, and blended learning.
    • Delivers department specific training using a variety of instructional methods.
    • Develops and maintains procedure documentation within the knowledge management system to ensure content is accurate and valid based on operational process updates.
    • Mentors, guides, and assists team members.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.

    DECISION MAKING
    • This position receives limited supervision/guidance.
    • This position requires the ability to manage a variety of training projects simultaneously, making timely and effective decisions to ensure successful completion.

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
    • Bachelor’sDegreefromaninstitutionaccreditedbyanationallyrecognizedaccrediting agency.
    • Five years’experienceinconductingeducationalactivitiesforadultlearnersincludingcompetencein instructional design, distance learning, and computer-assisted instructional techniques.
    • Valid Class "C" Texas Driver's License.


    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Communications, Instructional Design, Organizational Development, or an Education-related field from an institution accredited by a nationally recognized accrediting agency.
    • Education/Training professional certification.
    • Experience in a technical field.
    • Experience training adult learners.
    • Proficient in Learning Management Systems (LMS) administration and e-learning authoring tools (e.g., Powtoon, Canva) to create, manage and deliver online courses and training programs.

    JOB DIMENSIONS
    • Ability to establish and maintain contact with internal and external customers.
    • Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing.
    • Ability to work in a team environment.
    • Proficient skills in word processing, database, presentation, graphics and publishing software, web browser, multimedia instructional software and hardware.
    • Strong logical reasoning skills and business acumen.


    PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS

    Physical requirements include lifting up to 20 pounds occasionally. Requires visual acuity, speech and hearing. Subject to sitting, standing and walking for long periods of time. Frequently works in an office environment and performs occasional field visits.

    May be required to work hours other than regular schedule such as nights and weekends.
