Job DescriptionJOB SUMMARYThe Power Platform and SharePoint Developer is responsible for designing, developing, deploying, and supporting custom business applications built on the Microsoft Power Platform, focusing on both Canvas and Model-driven apps. In addition, this position is responsible for administering and maintaining SharePoint Online environments, including site creation, configuration, and day-to-day management. The Developer provides technical expertise and analytical guidance to both technical teams and business stakeholders, collaborating closely to optimize business processes and user experience within the Microsoft 365 ecosystem.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS•Develops and customizes PowerApps applications (Canvas and Model-driven) to meet business requirements, ensuring optimal functionality and user experience.
•Administers and maintains SharePoint environments: creates and configures site collections, manages permissions and groups, develops and maintains lists and libraries, and oversees workflow processes to support organizational needs.
•Integrates PowerApps with SharePoint, Microsoft Dataverse, and other data sources (e.g., SQL, Oracle, REST & SOAP APIs) using standard connectors and Power Automate for seamless data flow.
•Works with business stakeholders to gather requirements, propose solutions, and document technical specifications for Power Platform and SharePoint projects.
•Implements best practices for data integrity, security, and governance in PowerApps solutions and SharePoint administration.
•Investigates, analyzes, and makes recommendations to management regarding Power Platform and SharePoint enhancements, version upgrades, and system integrations.
•Provides technical and analytical guidance to other developers, team members, and end-users regarding solution design and troubleshooting.
•Follows standard software development methodologies and version control practices for solution deployment, maintenance, and updates.
•Collaborates with cybersecurity teams to ensure that custom apps and SharePoint sites meet organizational and regulatory security standards.
•Mentors and trains junior developers or team members on PowerApps, Power Automate, and SharePoint best practices.
•Provides on-call support as required, monitoring and resolving production issues related to PowerApps and SharePoint services.
•Performs other duties as assigned.
DECISION MAKING•This position works under limited supervision.
•This position serves as a technical lead, providing guidance and mentorship to staff.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FOR ALL SPECIALTIES•Bachelor’s Degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field from an institution accredited by a nationally recognized accrediting agency.
•Six years of experience in software development or programming, including three years in each of the following:
o Developing PowerApps (Canvas and Model-driven) in an enterprise environment.
o Using Power Automate (Flow) for process automation
o Administering SharePoint Online (site creation, permissions, lists/libraries, workflow configuration).
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS •Master’s degree in management information systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
•Experience with relational databases, APIs or middleware integrations, and core web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) including responsive design frameworks.
•Microsoft 365 certifications (e.g., Microsoft Power Platform).
•Experience developing client-side solutions using SharePoint Framework (SPFx).
•Experience with additional Power Platform components, such as Power BI or Power Virtual Agents.
•Knowledge of Azure services, including Azure Logic Apps, Azure Functions, and Azure SQL.
•Experience with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Azure DevOps) and version control systems (Git or similar) to manage and deliver high-quality code.
•Strong project management skills or leadership experience overseeing technical projects.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONSWorking conditions are primarily inside an office environment with travel to various locations on an occasional basis. Physical requirements include occasional lifting/carrying of 15 pounds; visual acuity, speech and hearing; hand and eye coordination and manual dexterity necessary to operate a computer keyboard and basic office equipment. Subject to sitting, standing, reaching, walking, twisting, and kneeling to perform the essential functions.
May be required to work hours other than regular schedule such as nights, weekends, and holidays.
