    Harry P. Leu Gardens is seeking a warm, organized, and sales-minded Weddings & Rentals Associate to support the booking of weddings and private events in one of Central Florida’s most breathtaking garden settings. This role is ideal for a relationship-driven professional who enjoys guiding clients through meaningful milestones while supporting a mission-centered public venue.

    About the Gardens
    Since 1961, Harry P. Leu Gardens has inspired a love of nature, history, and public horticulture. Once the private estate of Harry P. and Mary Jane Leu-renowned plant collectors-the 50-acre property was gifted to the City of Orlando and is now a vibrant public garden. Welcoming nearly 300,000 visitors annually, Leu Gardens features 30 plant collections, educational programs, seasonal events, and the Historic Leu House Museum, an 1888 home listed on the National Register of Historic Places. With expansive display gardens and a 22,000 sq. ft. Welcome Center, Leu Gardens is a premier destination for weddings, celebrations, and special events.

    Position
    The Weddings & Rentals Associate plays a vital role in connecting couples, families, and organizations with the beauty and charm of Leu Gardens. Serving as a primary point of contact for wedding and rental inquiries, this position guides clients through the sales process while delivering exceptional customer service and supporting overall rental revenue goals. Working closely with the Facilities, Guest Services, and Marketing teams, this role helps ensure every event begins with a positive, professional, and welcoming experience.

    This role helps to ensure that every event begins and ends with a positive, professional and welcoming experience. In addition to sales coordination, this position may also serve as the day-of point of contact for events, supporting clients and internal teams on-site.

    Key Responsibilities
    • Sales & Client Experience - Respond to wedding and rental inquiries in a timely, professional manner via phone, email, and online platforms; provide accurate information and tailored recommendations for a range of private events such as: weddings, receptions, birthdays, meetings, conferences, baby showers, celebrations of life and other gatherings.
    • Payments - Accurately handles all payment transactions, ensuring all payments are processed and recorded in accordance with established procedures.
    • Venue Tours & Consultations - Conduct on-site tours and consultations for prospective clients, showcasing available spaces, amenities, and rental options.
    • Contracts & Documentation - Prepare proposals, rental agreements, and related documentation, track contracts and payments in accordance with City policies.
    • Booking & Calendar Management - Maintain accurate event calendars, client records, and sales activity within the venue’s booking system.
    • Cross-Departmental Coordination - Communicate event details clearly with internal teams to support smooth transitions from sales to operations.
    • Day-of Event Support - Serve as the on-site point of contact for select private events, assisting guests and vendors, answering questions, and escalating issues as needed to ensure a positive guest experience
    • Revenue Support - Assist in achieving wedding and rental booking goals by converting inquiries into confirmed events.
    • Administrative Support - Support reporting, file management, and other sales-related administrative tasks as needed.


    Qualifications
    • Experience in event sales, weddings, hospitality, or venue rentals preferred.
    • Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
    • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow-through.
    • Ability to manage multiple inquiries and deadlines simultaneously.
    • Professional, polished, and client-focused demeanor.
    • Team-oriented and dependable, with a flexible and positive attitude.
    • Comfortable learning and using CRM or booking software.
    • Ability to work in all weather conditions. Approximately 85% of daily shifts are indoors, approximately 15% of shifts are outdoors. The percentages can change at any time depending on the needs of the operation.
    • Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends for tours or client meetings.
    • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred; proficiency in additional languages is a plus.


    Requirements
    High school diploma or equivalent required. Coursework or experience in hospitality, events, sales, or related fields preferred. Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs. Background check and polygraph required. An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience will be considered.

    THIS IS A PART_TIME_POSITION WITH NO GUARANTEE OF A CERTAIN NUMBER OF HOURS AND NO BENEFITS. THIS POSITION INVOLVES WORKING ON A TEMP/SEASONAL CONTRACT WHICH CAN BE RENEWED ANNUALLY BASED ON PERFORMANCE AND BUSINESS NEEED.

    If this posting indicates a degree is required, the following experience will apply in lieu of any degree as follows:
    • Two (2) years of direct experience for an associate degree;
    • Four (4) years of direct experience for a bachelor's degree;
    • Six (6) years of direct experience for a master's degree; or
    • Nine (9) years of direct experience for a doctoral degree.
