    Job Location: This position will be located at 8800 E. 63 rd , Suite 600, Raytown, MO 64133.

    Why you’ll love this position:

    The Child Care Subsidy Program increases children's access to early learning by assisting eligible parents/guardians with payments for child care in Missouri. The purpose of this program is to not only ensure children have access to early childhood programs, but also to help families with the cost of child care so they are able to focus on finding and holding steady jobs and/or are able to attend school and training programs.

    • Supervise staff in the Child Care Subsidy section responsible for processing family applications to determine eligibility for child care assistance.
    • Oversee eligibility determinations to ensure decisions are made in accordance with state and federal requirements.
    • Conduct quality reviews of family eligibility cases and provide feedback to staff accordingly.
    • Utilize the Child Care Data System (CCDS) to view application details and monitor dashboards for performance metrics.
    • Update policies and procedures used for processing applications as needed.
    • Responsible for required data collection, analysis, and reporting of child care subsidy information.
    • Stay up to date with federal and state requirements related to the child care subsidy program.
    • Prepare information for appeal and/or administrative hearings as needed.
    • Collaborate with staff in the Office of Childhood on requirements related to child care subsidy, including authorizations, payments, and investigations.
    • Serve as backup for the Program Coordinator of the Child Care Subsidy section as needed.
    • Assist in training staff to ensure compliance with state and federal requirements.
    • Assist with management planning and goal-setting activities.
    • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with Department staff and other state and local agencies.
    • Ability to communicate and express ideas effectively, verbally, and in writing.
    • Demonstrate regular, reliable, and engaged attendance.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.


    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree with a major in education, child development, social/human services, human development, and family studies other related area, with one or more years in a leadership or supervisory position.


    OR

    • Four or more years of professional or technical experience in providing social/human services, education, business, and possession of a high school diploma or high school equivalency, with one or more years in a leadership or supervisory position.
