The facility operations crew worker performs minor or routine maintenance on building interiors, exteriors, and grounds. Responsibilities are performed under direct supervision.
MoDOT will bring candidates onto the team as entry-level or senior level, based on your skills and experience. This opening is for a part-time position with annual hours up to but no more than 1040 hours per year.
This position is not benefits-eligible and will work Monday - Thursday, 6:00 am - 4:30 pm until 1040 total hours have been worked. - Perform routine maintenance on building interiors, such as replacing light bulbs, switches and fuses; repairing windows and blinds; and installing floor and ceiling tile.
- Perform facility renovation, repair, and maintenance functions such as pouring and finishing concrete, roofing, painting and plastering, and installing carpet, sheetrock, and doors.
- Perform routine maintenance to plumbing, heating, and air conditioning systems.
- Repair, move, and assemble file cabinets and furniture.
- Load and unload freight and delivers to appropriate office.
Minimum Qualifications: - High School Diploma or GED/HiSET
- Successful completion of a work simulation examination and a medical-physical examination.
Special Working Conditions: - Job requires heavy physical exertion and effort.
- Job requires exposure to moderately adverse and undesirable environmental conditions.
- Job may require operation of vehicles to plow snow and spread ice control materials.
