Job Location:- The office for this position is located at 3315 W. Truman Blvd, Jefferson City, MO.

ITSD-DESE has an opening for a Solutions Architect.- Authorization to work in the United States is a prerequisite of employment. - The salary indicated represents a base pay rate. If the individual selected or the position is eligible for a pay differential (e.g., shift, security, or years of service), it will be added to the total compensation in your paycheck. A pay differential does not raise your base pay.
This position is located within the Office of Administration, Information Technology Services Division (OA-ITSD), supporting the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) and the Department of Higher Education and Workforce Development (DHEWD).

- Recommend and guide team members in the adoption of AWS best practices, Well-Architected Framework principles, and cloud-native methodologies.
- Create comprehensive blueprints for cloud-native and hybrid solutions.
- Build and maintain high-performance database pipelines and modern Application Programming Interfaces (APIs).
- Review project plans, SOW's and RFP's.
- Create and maintain technical standards, policies, and detailed architectural diagrams.
- Ability to present technical information clearly and concisely.
- Experience with AWS and Azure Platform is preferable.
- Comprehensive understanding of cloud migration strategies, Infrastructure as Code, and AWS Well-Architected Framework.
- Familiar with Azure DevOps (ADO) and CI/CD pipelines.
- Practical experience with Java or .Net, and a good understanding of architectural frameworks.
- Familiar with Visual Studio 2022 and earlier versions.
- Experience with SQL Server 2019/2022.
- Knowledge of ServiceNow / Low code development.
- Ability to lead and mentor a dedicated team and work well with other teams.
- Strong analysis, critical thinking, and time management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
