Tax Season Assistant (Evenings) - Processing Tax (Temporary)

HOW THIS POSITION SUPPORTS THE DEPARTMENT’S VISION:
This evening position works with a team focused on opening and sorting income tax returns and documents in a timely manner. We are team-oriented, goal driven, and value strong communication and data-entry skills. An experienced problem-solver with good attendance habits and attention to detail will do well in this position. You will gain satisfaction from assisting Missouri’s taxpayers. Great opportunity to supplement your income and gain employment experience.
DUTIES PERFORMED TO SUPPORT THE DEPARTMENT’S VISION:
• Review incoming mail for necessary information on paperwork, forms, or attachments tax
• Complete data entry tasks
• Research and error correct documents to ensure timely processing
• Correspond with both internal and external customers about DOR processes relevant to taxation
• Direct or provide assistance to taxpayers with filing issues and promote electronic filing options, via phone and email correspondence- Must be at least 16 years of age
- Proficient typing and computer skills
