We are seeking a skilled Software Developer with experience in C# and proprietary systems to support the development, enhancement, and maintenance of mission-critical applications. This role involves working with a contracted third-party platform to modify existing code, generate new modules, and ensure high levels of accuracy and stability in deliverables. Strong communication and collaboration with the Department of Revenue (DOR), internal Information Technology Services Division (ITSD) leadership, and vendors is essential.

This position is with the Office of Administration, Information Technology Services Division (OA-ITSD), supporting Business Systems Development (BSD).

- Write, debug, and maintain code using standard C# practices
- Leverage a third-party proprietary system to generate code and modify existing products
- Conduct thorough testing to validate program changes and ensure stability
- Collaborate daily with DOR and vendor representatives, as well as ITSD supervisors, to manage tasks and resolve issues
- Analyze business needs and technical requirements to provide efficient coding solutions
- Document changes and updates to ensure traceability and compliance with development standards
- Proven experience in C# development, including debugging and code optimization
- Familiarity with third-party or proprietary software systems
- Experience in driver's licensing or motor vehicle-related systems is strongly preferred
- Solid understanding of SQL and relational databases
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
- Prior work with contracted systems, low-code platforms, or system integrators is a plus
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Successful background check results are required for employment in this position. This may include background checks involving a candidate’s name and/or fingerprints and other screenings as needed for the specific position.
