This position will be located at Environmental Services Program at
2710 W Main St, Jefferson City, MO 65109.
- Receive formal on-the-job and/or classroom training in the shipping, receiving, storing, and handling of biological, chemical and/or environmental samples; assembling and shipping of sample test kits; accessioning of testing samples; and disseminating of test results.
- Receive and sort incoming laboratory samples; compare and verify incoming laboratory test samples and requisitions; complete appropriate chain of custody documents.
- Coordinate delivery services of laboratory sample test kits with customers and vendors.
- Utilize specialized databases and management systems for proper chain of custody documentation and accessioning of incoming laboratory samples.
- Provide assistance to laboratory customers regarding submission processes and requisition of sample test kits; assist in receiving laboratory orders and determining testing needs.
- Enter, update and/or retrieve testing information/results utilizing database systems.
- Communicates with authorized representatives and private submitters regarding results reporting and laboratory procedures.

Equivalent to those typically gained by: - High School diploma or equivalent
- 1-3 years of relevant experience (Substitutions may be allowed)
