Job Summary Salary: $15.00 Position Description:Performs work in supporting Harry P. Leu Gardens’ events, programs, and facility operations under the direction of the Facilities Coordinator. Provides on-site assistance for daytime and evening events, ensuring spaces are prepared, clean, safe, and welcoming for guests. Sets up and breaks down event furnishings, equipment, and materials. Assists with facility upkeep, including minor cleaning, organizing supplies, and reporting maintenance needs. Supports staff during public programs, rentals, and special events by providing guest assistance, wayfinding, and general operational support. Helps monitor garden grounds and buildings during events to ensure adherence to policies and smooth event flow. May assist with small projects or seasonal installations as directed.
Qualifications:Experience in events, hospitality, facilities, or customer service preferred. Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled. Comfortable performing physical tasks such as lifting, moving equipment, and working outdoors in various weather conditions.
THIS IS A PART_TIME_POSITION WITH NO GUARANTEE OF A CERTAIN NUMBER OF HOURS AND NO BENEFITS. THIS POSITION INVOLVES WORKING ON A TEMP/SEASONAL CONTRACT WHICH CAN BE RENEWED ANNUALLY BASED ON PERFORMANCE AND BUSINESS NEEED. - Two (2) years of direct experience for an associate degree;
- Four (4) years of direct experience for a bachelor's degree;
- Six (6) years of direct experience for a master's degree; or
- Nine (9) years of direct experience for a doctoral degree.
