Higginsville Habilitation Center (HHC) is recruiting for a Support Care Professional, to be a part of a highly effective team that supports over 200 employees, that makes a difference in the lives of adults with developmental disabilities. HHC is a state-operated program within the Department of Mental Health and supports 40+ individuals receiving 24/7 services.
The Support Care Professional must be detail-oriented, work well with others, have good time management skills, possess leadership skills, have excellent written and verbal communication skills, and be proficient with Microsoft Excel and other computer programs and be willing to occasionally travel.
Responsibilities: The Support Care Professional is an essential member of an interdisciplinary treatment team, developing and reviewing individualized habilitation plans and behavioral objectives, implementing individual/group program activities and completing assessments, evaluations and other individual reports. The SCP supervises, coaches, and provides leadership along with scheduling monthly ENGAGEs with direct reports.
Preferred Qualifications: - Experience working with individuals and teams to ensure that rights are protected.
- Computer software knowledge in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Experience as a supervisor and working with teams.
Required Qualifications: - Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- Four or more years of relevant experience.
Lack of post-secondary education will not be used as the sole basis denying consideration to any applicant.Schedule:Scheduled to work 10:00 am to 6:30 pm with Friday and Saturday as days off, with flexibility as needed.
