The Division of Facilities Management, Design & Construction (FMDC) is looking for a high-caliber professional to plan and coordinate the implementation and long-term oversight of the current and future computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS), building automated systems (BAS), Energy Portal, and other technical platforms that we utilize to properly maintain our facilities statewide. This person will be responsible for process management, policy advisory, risk management, and ongoing improvement of these systems.

    This position is with the Office of Administration Division of Facilities Management, Design, and Construction’s (OA-FMDC) Facilities Operations Team. OA-FMDC is committed to strengthening the State’s investments while providing a safe and secure environment through innovative design solutions and excellent customer service.

    • Prioritize excellent customer service for wide and diverse network of internal and external stakeholders, including but not limited to internal teams, state agencies, state officials, contractors, and the public.
    • Assist with the implementation of any new CMMS, BAS, Archibus add-ons, and Energy Portal systems as well as oversee current systems in place and transfer of data to the new systems.
    • Plan and facilitate training for team members on the CMMS, BAS, Archibus, and Energy Portal systems.
    • Manage usage oversight and technical aspects of CMMS, BAS, Archibus, and Energy Portal systems, including new user setup.
    • Document and facilitate progress and update meetings with stakeholders to ensure regular communication.
    • Serve as a subject matter expert and liaison between FMDC, ITSD, vendors, contractors, and suppliers/building managers for management of these systems.
    • Develop training, resources, guidelines, and procedures for the new CMMS, BAS, Archibus, and Energy Portal systems.
    • Manage and coordinate renewals, maintenance, and updates of the CMMS, BAS, Archibus, and Energy Portal systems.
    • Procure and distribute reports to stakeholders from the CMMS, BAS, Archibus, and Energy Portal systems.
    • Establish and maintain equipment hierarchy, records, and schedules, as well as implement standard workflows for work requests, preventative maintenance programs, inspections, and projects in line with industry best practices and manufacturer recommendations.
    • Review and manage BAS and mechanical projects within the system; develop written building automation system sequence of operations for equipment.
    • Communicate technical information and directives to individual contributors to develop understanding and gain buy-in.
    • Follow all OA-FMDC health and safety protocols in addition to OSHA standards.
    • Carry state-issued cell phone with you during work shift and bring work cell phone home with you after your normal shift ends. While off shift, team members shall respond timely to urgent texts, phone calls, voicemails, chat messages, and emails. It is pertinent to note that having your state-issued cell phone on does not mean you are on call after your work shift ends.
    • Other duties and special projects as assigned.


    • Ability to communicate, collaborate, and lead with integrity in a manner that inspires trust and builds positive rapport with a diverse group of stakeholders and the public.
    • Ability to manage numerous time-sensitive deliverables independently or as part of a team using procedures, processes, regulations, and practices applicable to the scope of work.
    • Exceptional problem solving, communication, conflict resolution, and mediation skills to gain buy-in and facilitate successful project completion across a wide variety of diverse stakeholders.
    • Excellent attendance, work ethic, attention to detail, interpersonal, and critical thinking skills.
    • Ability to travel independently across the state in order to perform on-site field work such as inspections and field verifications, as well as conduct trainings and lead meetings.
    • Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret complex technical documentation to develop standard operating procedures (SOPs), solve problems, and provide several options for resolution.
    • Bachelor’s degree and 3-5 years of relevant experience. (Substitutions may be allowed.)
    • Strong understanding of maintenance operations and asset management.
    • Technical aptitude for computer programs and applications; ability to learn new systems quickly, develop resources and train others.
    • 5 years of experience working with a CMMS and/or BAS/HVAC system preferred. (Substitutions may be allowed.)
    • Certifications such as EPA 608 or EPA Universal preferred.
    • Safety-first mindset with considerable knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions.
    • Knowledge of continuous improvement and operational excellence principles and practices. (Training, certification, and/or education in continuous process improvement programs such as Lean Six Sigma, as well as completion of Missouri Way, Leadership Academy, and similar programs is preferred.)
    • Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license from Missouri or from an adjacent state if you reside outside of Missouri.

Authorization to work in the United States is a prerequisite of employment. The Office of Administration will not sponsor applicants for work visas. The salary indicated represents a base pay rate. If the individual selected or the position is eligible for a pay differential (e.g., shift, security, or years of service), it will be added to the total compensation in your paycheck. A pay differential does not raise your base pay.

    *This position is in an office environment and job duties may include prolonged periods of seated work at a desk, typing, written and verbal communication, problem solving, and the occasional ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds. Examples of job duties may also include prolonged periods of walking/standing/sitting/bending/driving, climbing ladders, working in inclement weather and working on uneven or elevated surfaces. This list is not all inclusive, but a general representation of duties that may be encountered in this position, however other duties may be assigned contingent upon business needs. Please note, this position is considered a “Category 0” under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), meaning the incumbent will not normally receive overtime compensation except in unusual circumstances as determined by appointing authorities.
