    The Missouri Department of Mental Health is seeking to fill a Program Specialist position for the Western Region Forensic Services Team.

    This position will be domiciled at the Center for Behavioral Medicine located at 1000 East 24th St., Kansas City, MO 64108.

    The Forensic Specialist will be responsible for managing communication between team members, clients, administration, county detention centers and circuit courts. They are responsible for managing the tracking of information, preparing reports and summaries, presenting data sets, inputting and interpreting data within an electronic data base, and tracking program metrics. The position will help coordinate treatment team member schedules to ensure clients are seen as staff are available. The position will also review invoices from external partners for services rendered. While the position will report to the Chief of Forensic Services in the Eastern Region, it will also routinely work with other Department of Mental Health employees, county-based detention centers, community mental health providers, and circuit courts within Missouri.

    Qualifications & Skills:

    Bachelor’s Degree with at least two years of experience. The ideal candidate will be skilled in time management, project management, coordination, communication, and customer service. The selected candidate should be comfortable working with forensic clients, correctional/detention staff, and a multi-disciplinary treatment team.
