Why you’ll love this position:This position will assist in promoting the Missouri On-site Safety and Health Consultation Program. The position will also support the current Public Relations Specialist in their administrative duties.
What you will do: - Strategize new ways to promote the Missouri On-site Safety and Health Consultation Program.
- Conduct promotional mailings to support the program.
- Follow up with potential consultees with the goal of securing consultation visits; attend various conferences throughout the State to promote the program.
- Assist with data entry into program databases.
- Engage with Missouri employers to obtain corrections for overdue hazards.
- Answer inquiries from the public regarding various programs within the Division of Labor Standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications: - 4 years of relevant experience OR Bachelor's degree (Substitutions may be allowed).
Preferred Qualifications: - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in spreadsheets to sort needed data.
- Ability to converse with the public and properly communicate the benefits of the Missouri On-site Consultation Program.
- Ability to stimulate public interest and gain support for agency programs.
