Apply by December 17, 2025 St. Louis Developmental Disabilities Treatment Centers currently has an opening for full time Emergency Management Officer, which requires travel between South County Habilitation Center and St. Charles Habilitation Center.This position is benefit eligible and will primarily work 8:00am - 4:30pm, Monday through Friday, have Saturday/Sunday and holidays as regular days off; however, schedule flexibility is necessary.
What you’ll do: This position provides leadership and oversight for safety, infection control, cybersecurity coordination, and emergency management within the Intermediate Care Facility (ICF). The Emergency Management Officer ensures compliance with CMS, DMH, OSHA, and state regulations while promoting a safe, secure, and prepared environment for residents, staff, and visitors.
The position is responsible for: - • Serves as the facility’s Infection Control Officer, developing, implementing and monitoring infection control policies and procedures.
- • Conducting infection control rounds, leading outbreak investigation and mitigation efforts.
- • Oversee the facility safety program, including hazard identification, prevention strategies, and compliance.
- • Working with the administrative team to ensure Life Safety Code (LSC) requirements are met for ICF certification, chairing the Safety Committee and completing building safety rounds.
- • Revising, updating and maintaining the Emergency Operations Plan (EOP); coordinating and conducting emergency drills and response activities.
- • Serving as the site point of contact for cybersecurity awareness, coordinating with IT and DMH Cybersecurity on required training and communication.
- • Providing staff training on infection control, safety, cybersecurity, and emergency preparedness.
- • Reviewing and updating facility policies to maintain compliance with ICF/IID, DMH, CMS, and state standards.
Eligibility Requirements:1-2 years of relevant experience. Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, public health, emergency management, or related field is preferred. Experience in infection control, safety, emergency preparedness, or cybersecurity is strongly desired.
