The MO Medicaid Audit & Compliance Unit (MMAC) has an opening for a Benefit Program Specialist within the MMAC Provider Revalidation Unit located in Cole County.

Semi-monthly salary: The current rate for this position is $1,629.51. Individual(s) selected for this position may receive a higher rate based on a pay differential (e.g. shift, or time-of-service pay).
Annual salary: $39,108.16
Job Location: This position is located at the Knipp Office Building, 3418 Knipp Dr Ste F, Jefferson City, MO. All internal promotional applicants are encouraged to apply as there may be alternate office space available.

Why you’ll love this position: This position is responsible for enrolling providers to ensure MO HealthNet participants have access to quality healthcare providers. The MMAC Revalidation Unit is a fast paced and challenging unit with opportunities for advancement. The person in this position will work independently within this supportive and hard-working team environment. You will respond to non-routine inquiries and requests from providers and other agencies.- Communicate with providers via email, mail, and by phone.
- Locate background information currently in enrollment files, in the imaging system, or from attachments to applications.
- Research, review, and make decisions about complex correspondence received from providers or others, and must be able to define in detail what information is needed.
- Process update forms and/or change requests to update provider information regarding address changes, tax ID changes, change of ownership, name change, etc.
- Review and process new, re-enrolling, and revalidating provider applications to ensure compliance with federal and state regulatory requirements.
- Cross-train to back up all other staff as needed.
- Additional duties as assigned by supervisor.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree and 0-2 years of relevant experience. (Substitutions may be allowed.)
Preferred Qualifications:
Attention to detail is essential and the ability to multi-task along with being organized. Clear, accurate, written and verbal communication is important, along with a desire to provide excellent customer service. Must be able to lead in a team setting with positivity and a professional demeanor. Must have computer experience and typing skills.
