Why you’ll love this position:ITSD is seeking an entry-level SQL Server systems and database administrator. In this position, the team member will apply technical skills in understanding core concepts of software and database management, basic SQL coding, computer and database security, and troubleshooting. Our support role provides valued database services both on-prem and in our cloud environment. The focus of this position is on SQL Server, but once you are ready to explore other support opportunities, we offer additional DBMS software solutions. A motivated, organized, detail-oriented work ethic is a must. High-level types of work include the installation and upgrade of SQL Server software and its components, performance tuning, database design, database monitoring, and data security. Qualified team members working at this level should have a strong desire to learn. We have qualified team members who are willing to train you on the job and offer additional training to further enhance your proficiency in the products we support.

This position is with the Office of Administration, Information Technology Services Division (OA-ITSD) supporting the State Data Center (SDC).
