The Cybersecurity Analyst is responsible for the design, implementation, operation, and maintenance of the organization's micro-segmentation efforts, preventing unauthorized lateral traffic flow, and protecting against cyber attacks. This position will work closely with other Information Technology Service Division (ITSD) teams, including but not limited to desktop, server, network, and cloud teams, to deploy agents across enterprise systems. Additionally, this position will monitor and troubleshoot connectivity errors while maintaining current security standards and best practices.

This position is with the Office of Administration, Information Technology Services Division (OA-ITSD) supporting the Office of Cybersecurity (OCS).

- This position is responsible for the implementation, management and administration of the State of Missouri's micro-segmentation efforts.
- Implement the administration and maintenance of the organization's micro-segmentation system.
- Implement the configuration and management of layered ACL Policies; Define granular access control policies for servers, applications, workloads and users.
- Manage policy reviews to align with changes in services, architecture or threat landscape.
- Manages metadata integration from enterprise resources and cloud platforms.
- Manage agent deployment to workstations, servers, and cloud assets across the consolidated enterprise network.
- Analyze network traffic by identifying communication patterns to develop effective segmentation zones.
- Respond to security incidents.
- Create and maintain network policies related to data flow.
- Integrate micro-segmentation systems with the enterprise Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) system.
- Establish boundaries between cross-functional teams.
- Assist with application and network mapping.
- Establish an authentication-based access control list (ACL).
- A bachelor's or associate degree related to Computer Information Systems and multi-functional IT experience, including intermediate experience with the following, or similar, State of Missouri IT-related services.
- Knowledge of the state's networking environment.
- Skill in recognizing security intrusions and taking appropriate actions.
- Skill in analyzing and correlating data, and noticing patterns and discrepancies.
- Strong knowledge of Next Gen Firewalls (NGFW) and networking skills.
- Deep knowledge of zero trust architecture (ZTA) principles and deployment models.
- Strong knowledge of multiple security appliances.
- Effective communication and planning skills to coordinate a multi-year project.
- Strong knowledge of NIST 800-53 security framework.
