    Description

    The Town of Prescott Valley invites you to apply for the position of Fleet Services Division Manager.

    We invite you to join the high-performing team at the Town of Prescott Valley, serving as our Fleet Services Division Manager within the Public Works Department. The Fleet Services Division Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, coordinating, directing, and evaluating all aspects of the effective economic management and maintenance of the Town vehicles and related fleet equipment.

    Examples of Duties

    IN THIS POSITION, YOU WILL:
    • Champion a high-performance work culture that encourages and embraces new ideas, develops individuals, and welcomes and encourages diverse perspectives.
    • Select, train, motivate, and evaluate assigned personnel.
    • Communicate with other departments to assist in their fleet and equipment budget preparation.
    • Play a key role in planning, coordinating, and administering the Town's vehicle and equipment replacement program.
    • Ensure appropriate training for staff and maintain required certifications.
    • Be required to stay well-informed of rapidly changing advancements to vehicle components and their operation (engines, transmissions, computerized systems, emission controls, etc.) in a technology driven industry.
    • Plan and prioritize necessary maintenance and repair in accordance with Department policies.
    • Plan and oversee fleet maintenance outsourced contracts, including body shop repairs; prepare, maintain, and review various fleet and maintenance reports; initiate action and resolution management as required.
    • Oversee and manage the Town's Enterprise lease program.


    Typical Qualification

    REQUIREMENTS:
    • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a major in fleet management, transportation, and logistics management, and 4 years of professional management experience in Fleet Services or related field with 3 years of supervisory experience. Or a minimum of 6 years of progressively responsible experience in the fleet management industry.
    • Ability to pass a pre-employment background check including driving record.
    • Must possess a valid Class B Arizona Commercial Driver's License or be able to obtain one within the time frame designated by the Town.

    Preferred Qualifications:
    • Knowledge or certifications in ASE Certification in Engine Repair, Suspension and Steering, Brake and Electrical/Electronic Systems, ASE Master Heavy Truck Certification, ASE Medium/Heavy Truck Technician Certification T-4 and T-5, ASE Automotive Technician certification A-4 and A-5, or able to obtain within the timeframe designated by the Town.
    • Emergency Vehicle Technician (EVT) or Law Enforcement Technician (LEV) Certification

    COMPENSATION:
    • The Town's complete compensation package includes salary, benefits, and a high-performance culture. The Town package includes a health, dental, and vision insurance plan, participation in the state retirement system, optional 457 deferred compensation with a town match up to 6%, vacation, holidays, and additional comprehensive benefits.
    • The expected hiring range is $81,411-$88,000.
    • The full salary range is $81,411 - $113,984.
