    Job Location: This position will be located at 205 Jefferson St., Jefferson City, MO 65101.

    Why you’ll love this position:

    The Child Care Subsidy Program increases children's access to early learning by assisting eligible parents/guardians with payments for child care in Missouri. The purpose of this program is to not only ensure children have access to early childhood programs, but also to help families with the cost of child care so they are able to focus on finding and holding steady jobs and/or are able to attend school and training programs.

    • Supervise the Provider Account Team responsible for assisting providers contracted with the Child Care Subsidy program.
    • Oversee the processing of child care provider contract applications and approval of child care provider payments.
    • Ensure decisions are made in accordance with federal and state requirements and stay up-to-date with these requirements.
    • Responsible for research, development, support, and evaluation of programs within the child care Subsidy section.
    • Update policies and procedures used for provider applications and payments.
    • Manages contracts for the child care Subsidy section, which includes developing the scope of work, contract amendments, fiscal tracking, invoice approval, and oversight of deliverable requirements.
    • Provides technical assistance to contractors.
    • Conducts quality reviews of provider cases and provide feedback to staff accordingly.
    • Responsible for required data collection, analysis, and reporting of child care subsidy information.
    • Develop and maintain a positive working relationship with stakeholders and state agencies.
    • Draft communication to providers regarding non-compliance.
    • Assist with special projects (supporting child care Subsidy section teams and activities).
    • Serve as backup for the Program Coordinator in the child care Subsidy Unit as needed.
    • Evaluate and analyze results of programs and to recommend changes when feasible.
    • Demonstrate regular, reliable, and engaged attendance.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.


    Minimum Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree with a major in education, child development, social/human services, human development, and family studies other related area, with one or more years in a leadership or supervisory position.


    OR

    • Four or more years of professional or technical experience in providing social/human services, education, business, and possession of a high school diploma or high school equivalency, with one or more years in a leadership or supervisory position.
