The City of Chandler Fire Department is currently seeking qualified individuals interested in joining our team as an EMS Senior Program Manager. The position is scheduled to work Monday - Friday 8AM-5PM. There may be an option to work a flexible schedule upon completion of initial probation, however there is not a work from home option for this position.

Current City of Chandler employees may only hold one position and are not eligible for additional part-time or secondary positions within the City of Chandler.

Who we are looking for

Our new team member will have a passion for customer service, teamwork, and collaboration. We are looking for someone with a positive attitude who can effectively organize and prioritize work, and who is dependable, reliable, and responsible.

The primary function of an employee in this classification is to perform a variety of complex and highly responsible professional duties related to planning, developing, teaching, and administering the Chandler Fire Department’s Paramedic and EMT Programs, as well as assisting with the Department’s quarterly EMS training.

The position also includes performing chart reviews, conducting crew follow-ups, and assisting with or managing other training-related needs. This position is responsible for maintaining documentation and requirements to support accreditation/certifications and is expected to conduct research and review emerging EMS issues to ensure the City remains on the forefront of industry standards and best practices.

Additionally, this role may assist with inventory management, software systems, vendor coordination, equipment, supplies, and other operational needs of the Chandler Fire Department.

Minimum qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Emergency Medical Services, Education, Fire Science, or a related field; and
• 4 years’ experience as an emergency registered nurse, registered nurse, or Arizona certified paramedic, or NREMT-P; and
• ACLS and PALS provider certification; or
• Any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the work.

Desired qualifications

• PHTLS, AMLS, PEPP, NRP Instructor certification;
• Knowledge of learning management systems and web delivery tools;
• Experience with e-learning platforms;
• Experience in a 911 EMS system.

This is a regular full-time position, subject to a 6-month probationary period. A register of qualified candidates will be active for 4 months should another position become available.
