Job Location: This position will be located at 205 Jefferson St., Jefferson City, MO 65101.
Why you’ll love this position: Educator Certification issues educator certificates to all educators who work in the state’s school systems, as well as assisting with the review of certificate-holders who are charged with misconduct.
- Works as a certification call center representative responsible for answering calls and assisting with inquiries.
- Evaluates transcripts and enters required data into Educator Certification system database.
- Assesses and assigns all certification applications to appropriate staff for processing.
- Serves as assistant manager of the certification call center.
- Assists with the processing of application payments, refunds, and transactional reports with certification vendor.
- Opens and processes incoming educator certification mail.
- Scans and files all documentation received from educators.
- Answers and directs certification telephone calls and correspondence to appropriate staff.
- Collects, verifies, and enters data for issuance of educator certificates.
- Answers e-mail inquiries from educators, school administrators, university/college staff and others regarding certification requirements, content area specifications, rules, and regulations.
- Assists in greeting office visitors, ascertains purpose of visits, furnishes general information, gathers and relays information.
- Answers e-mail inquiries from educators, school administrators, universities/colleges, and others regarding certification requirements.
- Provides assistance to school districts, universities/colleges, and individuals on status of educators’ certificates.
- Independently prioritizes work, and initiates corrections and/or requests for additional information.
- Assumes other duties as assigned.
- Demonstrate regular, reliable, and engaged attendance.
Minimum Qualifications: - Graduated from high school or High School Equivalency.
- One or more years’ experience in clerical or secretarial work.
