    Job Announcement

    The City of Chandler Community Services Department is currently seeking qualified individuals interested in joining our team as a Parks Maintenance Worker. The position is scheduled to work 5 days a week, 8 hours per day, Monday through Friday. Schedules vary and may include weekends. This recruitment will be used to fill regular full-time, part-time, and temporary positions.

    Current City of Chandler employees may only hold one position and are not eligible for additional part-time or secondary positions within the City of Chandler.

    The Park Operations Division plays a critical role in the City of Chandler’s quality-of-life initiatives by providing over 1,500 acres of safe, clean, and well-maintained parks that offer exceptional recreational experiences.

    Our new team member will have a passion for customer service, teamwork, and collaboration. We are looking for someone with We are looking for someone to perform routine preventative, groundskeeping, repair, or maintenance activities on a variety of City equipment, park grounds, buildings, or structures.

    Minimum qualifications

    • Completion of eighth grade, no experience required; and

    • A valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record; or

    • Any equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the work.

    Desired qualifications

    • 1 year of landscaping, irrigation, or sports field maintenance experience.

    This is a regular full-time position subject to a 6-month probationary period. Should another position become available, a register of qualified candidates will be active for 4 months.

    The City of Chandler will conduct a pre-employment driving record check as a condition of employment. An offer of employment is contingent upon acceptable results. All applicants hired will be required to be fingerprinted with successful results as a condition of continued employment.
