    Overview

    The Larimer County Assessor's Office is seeking an Applications Support Specialist to join our established team. We’re looking for a motivated, detail-oriented professional eager to learn and grow. In this role, you’ll receive training from senior specialists and gain hands-on experience with multiple data functions and processes to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and excellent service. You’ll primarily support vendor-provided applications, with a focus on RealWare.

    Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM-4:30 PM. A hybrid work option is available after training.

    Responsibilities

    What you'll be doing:
    • Supporting departmental business applications by troubleshooting issues and assisting users.
    • Gathering and documenting requirements to improve or implement applications.
    • Configuring, testing, and implementing new applications, modules, and functionality.
    • Managing system access, security profiles, and user roles.
    • Monitoring performance to ensure accuracy, reliability, and efficiency.
    • Resolving and tracking issues, coordinating with IT or vendors when needed.
    • Identifying root causes of incidents and developing corrective actions or workarounds.
    • Contributing to the design and ongoing improvement of applications and workflows.

    What we're looking for:
    • Familiarity with database concepts, data extraction, and reporting.
    • Ability to analyze and diagnose application issues.
    • Knowledge of troubleshooting tools and techniques for business applications.
    • Experience with application analysis and issue resolution.
    • Strong user and client relationship management skills.
    • Clear written and verbal communication skills for working with coworkers, users, supervisors, and vendors.
    • Technical aptitude to understand and support assigned applications in depth.


    Qualifications

    • Four (4) years related applications support or systems support experience required.
    • Possess reliable transportation to be able to work in any County facility as needed and required.
