Special Assistant Office & Clerical - Taxation Division, Tax Administrative Office Department of Revenue DOR VISION: To establish an environment that fosters confidence and trust by successfully utilizing technology, employing resources, and meeting customer needs HOW THIS POSITION SUPPORTS THE DEPARTMENT’S VISION: The Missouri Department of Revenue, Taxation Division is recruiting a dedicated individual with the ability to multi-task and work independently to join their team as a Special Assistant Office & Clerical. This position will support the Deputy Director of the Taxation Division and the Business Tax Bureau. Will also assist the Taxation Division Director’s Administrative Assistant.
The State of Missouri is an equal opportunity employer. DUTIES PERFORMED TO SUPPORT THE DEPARTMENT’S VISION: - Provide administrative support for the Deputy Director of the Taxation Division and the Business Tax Bureau Administrator and Managers.
- Handle referral phone calls from the Governor’s Office and Director of Revenue’s Office on tax related matters.
- Schedule various meetings and maintain Outlook calendars for Deputy Division Director and Business Tax team members.
- Prepare personnel forms for new hires, employee resignations, transfers, promotions, etc.
- Serve as timekeeper in LeaveTrack for various employees.
- Serve as Safety Coordinator for Tax Administrative Office.
- Prepare purchase requisitions for special supply orders and purchases/expenses and code invoices for payment processing.
- Update inventory tracking system.
- Submit OA IT Help Desk Tickets for technical issues.
- Assist other areas of the Taxation Division with backlogs and tax season processing.

QUALIFICATIONS: - A successful candidate should have one or more years of Administrative Assistant experience; or four or more years of clerical experience and possession of a high school diploma or proof of high school equivalency.
- Possess exceptional writing, grammar, proofreading, customer service and training skills
- Ability to exercise sound judgement, discretion, and considerable independence when making decision
- Professional oral and written communication skills
- Dependable, well-organized and able to successfully manage numerous work priorities
