Annual Salary Ranges:
Telehealth/Headquarters/Onsite:
$162,372 – Licensed
$133,932 – Pre-Licensed
Psychologists providing in-person care in an inpatient unit will receive:$186,720 – Licensed
$154,020 – Pre-Licensed
Restructured Recruitment and Retention Bonus:Recruitment and Retention Bonus for clinicians newly hired with the State of CA has been restructured to provide a 1% bonus for the first 7 years, increasing by 1% year over year, maxing at a 7% bonus by year 7.
Psychologists newly hired with the State of CA are also eligible to receive a recruitment and retention bonus of up to $30,000 within the first 12 months of service.
Referral Bonus:All CDCR/CCHCS employees that refer a mental health clinician who is successfully hired by CCHCS may be eligible to receive a referral bonus of $5,000 per appointed referral.
Work Locations: Wide Variety of Geographic Settings including the Northern California Coast, San Francisco Bay Area, California Capitol, and Southern California.

As a Psychologist with California Correctional Health Care Services, you will play a crucial role in providing mental health services to individuals in our care. Your responsibilities will include conducting screenings, evaluating incarcerated persons, crisis intervention, individual therapy, treatment planning, and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams. Minimum Qualifications:- Valid license as a Psychologist issued by the California Board of Psychology
- Doctorate Degree in Psychology from an accredited institution
